Bassetlaw District Council receives over a million interactions each year. We are constantly looking at ways to improve customer service. We believe that if we improve the quality of service and access to information without driving up overall costs, it will lead to improved customer satisfaction.
The Customer Service Team operates from the Council Offices at 17B The Square, Retford and Queen’s Buildings, Worksop and the Harworth Information Centre, Scrooby Road, Harworth.
Due to current national restrictions our offices at Retford and Worksop are open on an appointment only basis.
Council offices for customer telephone enquiries on (01909) 533533 will be open from 8.40 am to 5.00pm weekdays. Our 'Out of Hours' number is 0800 590542 and a 24 hour payment line on 020 7000 2215.
Council offices for customer face to face enquiries and non-cash payments will be open on an appointment only basis from 9.30am to 12.30am and 1.30pm to 3.30pm weekdays. This includes our One Stop Shops at Worksop and Retford. The Harworth office remains closed at this time.
We work closely with other organisations to provide you with access to a wider range of services. These organisations include Nottinghamshire County Council, Citizens Advice Bureau, Department for Work and Pensions and Nottinghamshire Police.

We have also made improvements to our website for customers to be able to self-serve using our online forms.
