Leaseholders

Leasehold ownership means that you have paid for the right to live in your flat or maisonette for a set period of time, known as the 'term' of the lease.

This period is usually 125 years and the lease of the property can be bought and sold during this time.

Bassetlaw District Council remains as the landlord and owner of the property and is responsible for any maintenance and repairs to the external fabric of the building.
