Important Information for online Housing Applications

Please make sure you have the following information before beginning your online application:

  • National Insurance Number for applicant(s)
  • Last 5 years of address history for applicant(s)
  • Full names and dates of birth of any household member who is living with you now, or moving with you

How to register

Please note that paper forms are not available - this process must be completed online.

  • Go to Bassetlaw Homefinder
  • Click on “Login/My Account” at the top of the screen
  • Scroll down and click “If you don’t have a login – click here to register”

The registration form has three sections:

  • Section 1: Your personal details
  • Section 2: Household details and previous address history
  • Section 3: Questions about your current circumstances

Completing your Online Housing Application

  • Complete Section 1 – Your Personal Details
  • Once completed you will be issued a Login Reference Number. Please make a note of your reference and PIN as you will need these to log back in in the future.
  • To complete Sections 2 and 3:
  • Click on “Apply for Social Housing”
  • Then select “Complete a new Social Housing application”

Once your form is submitted and all required documents are received (see attached Documentation for Housing Application), our Registration Team will review your application. Please remember to quote your reference number when submitting documents. We will contact you to confirm whether your application has been successful.
