Bassetlaw District Council is in the process of updating its Homefinder Choice Based Lettings and Allocations Policy. The consultation period for the proposed changes ended on 17th December and we will use all of the responses to inform the next steps of this process.
The new policy is designed to improve the way that Bassetlaw District Council allocates its housing stock to those in need and reduce the number of empty properties we have. The new policy will also assist in discharging the Council's legal duties and reduce homelessness, alongside reducing the financial burden it currently faces.
