All missed bins must be reported to us after 6.00pm and within 2 working days of your scheduled collection day. Please do not report a missed bin if:
- Your bin was not our before 6.00am on your collection day
- Incorrect items were placed in your bin. To check which items can go in each bin, please go to our 'What bin does it go in?' page.
- Your bin was too heavy or unsafe for our team to empty
- Your bin lid was raised (not in the closed position)
- Excess waste at the side of your bin was not collected
Please note: if our crew have reported the bin as not being collected for one of the reasons above, the Council will not return to empty the bin until you have addressed the issue. We have the ability to verify missed bin information submitted to us through CCTV and vehicle in-cab technologies. Once the issue has been addressed, we will empty your bin as part of your next scheduled collection.

As part of the next steps of reporting a missed bin, you will be asked to provide your name, address, and email address, in addition to the bin colour and waste type that was missed.
