Asbestos waste

Bassetlaw District Council do not provide a disposal service for the removal of asbestos.

If a contractor or trades person has dismantled an asbestos structure for you, it is their responsibility to remove this material from your property and dispose of it safely.

If you are a resident and dismantle an asbestos structure from your own home, you can book an appointment to dispose of this material at a dedicated site, providing you meet certain criteria and pay the relevant fee.  For further information or to book an appointment, please contact Nottinghamshire County Council

Alternatively, you could contact a Registered Waste Carrier for the removal and disposal of asbestos from a domestic property.  You have a duty of care to ensure that your waste is disposed of by a Registered Waste Carrier.
