How will local infrastructure and services cope with more growth?

The Local Plan will set out what infrastructure is needed to support new housing and employment growth. A wide range of infrastructure partners are involved in the Local Plan e.g. Nottinghamshire County Council, Bassetlaw CCG, Severn Trent. By working together we make sure that the right infrastructure is provided at the right time to support new development.

The Local Plan can only provide for infrastructure to address impacts from new development. So it cannot solve existing infrastructure issues.

Infrastructure needs are set out in the Infrastructure Delivery Plan (2020) which has been prepared as evidence base for this Local Plan and is available on the Council’s website. This includes an assessment of the current infrastructure in the area and the needs identified from new development identified in the Local Plan.
