Residents, community groups, and local businesses across Worksop are being invited to have their say on how a £20 million Plan for Neighbourhoods government investment should be spent - making sure it delivers real change on your doorstep.
The Worksop Together Board is launching the next phase of community consultation, building on feedback gathered to date and with a renewed focus on listening to our neighbourhoods across Worksop.
It is working together to listen to as many different voices as it can over the next six weeks. What does the Worksop you’d like to see in 2035 look like for the children, residents, workers and businesses of Worksop?
From improving community facilities, supporting local services, and creating safer streets, to boosting opportunities for young people and tackling issues that matter most to you - your ideas will help shape a long-term vision and an investment plan to ensure it reflects local priorities.
The Worksop Together Board brings together residents, local businesses, charities, health leaders, and community representatives to ensure this funding is invested where it will make the biggest difference.
Darren Huart, Project Manager (BCVS), said:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for Worksop and a serious investment that will prioritise funding for the most left behind communities.”
“BCVS will be working with a range of community partners including Citizens Advice North Nottinghamshire, to enable as many voices as possible to be heard – from local workers and community volunteers to young people and long-standing residents. Your ideas will shape the next ten years of Worksop developments, so please get involved and help us create a fairer future for everyone.”
Cllr Steve Scotthorne, Cabinet Member for Identity and Place at Bassetlaw District Council said:
“We hope people will get involved in having their say on creating a long-term vision for Worksop. We look forward to working in partnership with the Worksop Together Board as they develop plans to regenerate the area for the benefit of residents, businesses and visitors alike.”
Karen Whitlam, Chief Executive Officer for Citizens Advice North Nottinghamshire, said:
‘’Worksop’s strength lies in its people. Every idea shared, every voice heard, brings us closer to a future shaped by and for our community. We are working with BCVS and other community partners to hear your voices to help to build a better future together for Worksop."
"I hope to see a Worksop where people feel safe and connected and every business feels supported. This is our chance to create a town that reflects our hopes, values, and pride."
All feedback and views gathered will be used to shape the plan for submission to the government by November 2025. Funded projects will then begin from April 2026.
