Voids Co-ordinator - Person Specification

Job title: Voids Co-ordinator

Qualifications  

  1. NVQ Level 4 qualification in Housing or a Building-related field, or equivalent specific and relevant experience — or the ability to demonstrate experience and knowledge equivalent to working at this level in a similar environment. – Priority One

Knowledge

  1. Good knowledge of current housing issues and legislation, particularly in relation to the management and maintenance of empty properties. – Priority One

Experience

  1. Experience of managing and motivating teams. – Priority One
  2. Experience of using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and large management information systems e.g. Northgate. – Priority One
  3. Experience of building and maintaining relationships with key partners, including managing contracts – Priority One

Skills

  1. Ability to collect, prepare, and interpret detailed reports and complex data from IT systems for management use – Priority One
  2. Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills to manage and prioritise workloads, chair meetings, and drive team performance – Priority One
  3. Ability to analyse void property progress, engage with contractors and stakeholders, and make decisive actions to ensure timely completion – Priority One
  4. Ability to work collaboratively across housing disciplines, handle stressful situations, support staff, and maintain a proactive, detail-focused approach - Priority One
