Key requirements:

Priority 2 – Could not do the job without this, but provided have Priority 1 criteria, this could be developed in the job over an acceptable period

Priority 3 – Would enhance performance in the job, but is not essential

Qualifications  

1. An HNC in Building Studies or equivalent or the ability to demonstrate working at a similar level. (Priority One)
   
   

Knowledge

1. Knowledge of current Health and Safety and CDM Regulations. (Priority One)

 

2. Understanding of accepted good building practice and a detailed knowledge of current Building Regulations, NHBC requirements, appropriate British Standards and Codes of Practice. (Priority One)

 

3. Knowledge of current Health and Safety and CDM Regulations. (Priority One)
   
   

Experience

1. A minimum of five year’s experience of working within the construction industry. (Priority One)

Skills

1. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and detailed specifications / technical information and liaise with contractors over the same. (Priority One)
2. Excellent communication skills. (Priority One)
3. The ability to operate ICT systems e.g. Microsoft Office, case management systems. (Priority One)
4. The ability to identify and contribute towards service improvements. (Priority One)
