Job title: Housing Disrepair Team Administrator
Responsible To: Housing Disrepair Team Leader
Job Purpose: To provide administrative support to the Housing Disrepair Team and ensure accurate information is provided in accordance with statutory deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Housing Conditions Claims (England).
- Issue completion certificates to conclude the claim
- Promptly and accurately update records held in the housing management system when a claim is received.
- Ensure that details regarding claims remain confidential and are stored securely
- Update records with details regarding claimants solicitors and other individuals where authority to disclose has been provided. Ensure that all data protection requirements are met.
- Provide support to the Disrepair Team to obtain access to properties if appointments are not kept, including liaising with other teams.
- Respond promptly to queries to ensure that cases can be progressed without delay.
- Provide administrative support to internal meetings, including taking minutes
- Provide performance and statistical information as requested by the Disrepair Team Leader or Repairs and Maintenance Manager.
- Communicate effectively with tenants on the telephone, in person and in writing
- Carry out a variety of administrative duties in relation to disrepair, including printing documents and posting letters
- Assist in monitoring the progress of work that is being completed by external contractors
- Assist the Repairs Administrative Team during the absence of the postholders or when workload is high
- To receipt invoices and raise purchase orders in line with the Councils Procurement rules
- Carry out such other duties as may be required appropriate to your skills and to a level of responsibility not exceeding the grade on which you are appointed
The post holder is required to carry out any other duties appropriate for the grade and responsibility level of the post.
The post holder will be required to comply with relevant legislation and in accordance with the Council’s policies and procedures.
The post holder will be employed under the NJC Conditions of Service for Local Government Services.
