Job Title: Housing Assistant - Allocations
Key requirements:
- Priority 1 – Could not do the job without this
- Priority 2 – Could not do the job without this, but provided have Priority 1 criteria, this could be developed in the job over an acceptable period
- Priority 3 – Would enhance performance in the job, but is not essential
Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 GCSEs Grade C or equivalent including Maths and English Language and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential. (Priority 1)
Experience
- A minimum of two years experience of working and supporting a front line customer focussed service including office and administration procedures including office and contract administration procedures. (Priority 1)
- Excellent customer care skills. (Priority 1)
- Using IT packages and systems, including word, excel and management information systems. (Priority 1)
Knowledge
- An awareness of equalities and diversity and a commitment to implement the Councils’ Equalities and Diversity polices (Priority 1)
Skills
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly, sensitively and effectively, both verbally and in writing (Priority 1)
- The ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative (Priority 1)
- To be able to deal with enquiries from the public (Priority 1)
- The ability to manage and prioritise own workload (Priority 2)
- Ability to work to targets and deadlines (Priority 2)
