Food allergens and alerts

Current allergen labelling rules changed on 13th December 2014.

Many food businesses are already starting to make changes to how they label allergens on their menus or food products.

More details will be available when your food business is inspected by our Food Safety Officers or if you would like an advisory visit to assist you in checking your menu and to discuss your practices to minimise the risk of cross contamination.

New allergen labelling legislation came into effect from 13th December 2014. For help with how to identify the allergens in ingredients in all your dishes you may find it useful to complete the allergy matrix checklist and for each dish you serve you may consider using the recipe sheet.
