We have undertaken a review of Beckingham cum Saundby Parish Council. Documentation relating to this review, including the timetable can be found below.
Following a request for a review from Beckingham cum Saundy Parish Council the District Council considered a report on 18th September 2025 and approved the commencement of a Community Governance Review.
A report on the outcome of the initial consultation was presented to Council on 12th March 2026.
Members resolved to approve a second consultation on reducing the number of Parish Councillors on Beckingham cum Saundby Parish Council from 11 to 9, to take effect from the May 2027 elections.
The second stage consultation ran until the 11th May 2026.
A report on the final recommendations was presented to Council on 18th June 2026.
It was resolved to reduce the number of Parish Councillors on Beckingham cum Saundby Parish Council from 11 to 9. The agreed changes will be formally implemented through the preparation and sealing of a Reorganisation Order to come into effect for the May 2027 elections.
