THIS EVENT HAS FINISHED.

North Nottinghamshire will once again welcome 120 of the world’s best cyclists for a second year in a row, as Nottinghamshire hosts Stage Seven of the OVO Energy Tour of Britain on Saturday 8 September 2018.

The route will start in West Bridgford and end in Mansfield and take in key landmarks on its way including Clumber Park and the towns of Retford and Worksop.

The announcement comes on the back of last year's successful event, which attracted 210,000 spectators on the day - one of the biggest turn-outs across the eight stage race across the UK.

The race boosted the Nottinghamshire economy by more than £3.4m.

With a global TV audience of millions, once again the eyes of the world will be on Nottinghamshire when 120 of the world’s top cyclists race the longest stage which is approximately 223 km long (139 miles).

With the event being held this year on a Saturday, it is hoped that the area will see many more spectators flock to the streets and support this fantastic sporting event.
