How To Dispose: If your tapes (cassettes) are in good condition, charity shops may accept them. Otherwise these should be placed in your green bin.

Televisions

How To Dispose: Bassetlaw District Council provide a chargeable collection service. Please see our Bulky Item page for further information. Alternatively you can dispose of these items at the Retford or Worksop Household Waste Recycling Centre.

How To Dispose: Unwanted electrical items can be disposed of at the Retford or Worksop Household Waste Recycling Centre.

Details and restrictions: Electrical items must not be placed in wheeled bins.

Toner Cartridges

How To Dispose: Check with the manufacturer / supplier to see if they will accept the empty cartridges back. Otherwise they can be sent of for recycling in a freepost envelope available free of charge from some retail shops and supermarkets.

How To Dispose: These can be disposed of at Retford or Workshop Household Waste Recycling Centre.

Turf

How To Dispose: This can be disposed of at the Retford or Worksop Household Waste Recycling Centre.

Details and restrictions: A permit system is in operation for vans, pick ups, sign written vehicles and trailers. For further information regarding permits please contact Nottinghamshire County Council on 0300 500 8080.

Tyres

How To Dispose: To dispose of tyres take them to a garage (most garages will dispose of your tyres for you when fitting replacements)

Details and restrictions: Old car tyres are classed as hazardous waste and cannot be taken to the Household Waste Recycling Centres. Tyres cannot be sent to landfill either.
