Suspending New Subscriptions
Due to the current situation with Coronavirus (COVD-19), we have taken the decision to suspend new subscriptions to our garden waste service to reduce the amount of unnecessary contact. For the time being, we are still collecting bins from those who are already subscribed. More information on the services affected during this time can be found on our Coronavirus webpage.
About the garden waste service
Our Garden Waste Collection Service allows Bassetlaw residents to recycle even more of their waste. We have made a small increase to the 2020 subscription, with this season's price being £32. This rise is due to the increased costs of providing our Garden Waste Service and so that we can invest more into and continue to make improvements to the service.
Collections take place every two-weeks between the beginning of March and the end of November and your fee includes an additional 240 litre wheelie bin.
You can use your Brown Bin to recycle grass cuttings, hedge trimmings, leaves, small branches and twigs, dead plants, weeds and cut flowers.
Please do not put plastic bin liners in with your garden waste as these cannot be recycled and your bin will not be collected.
The Garden Waste Collection Service is for DOMESTIC properties only. If you are a business and require your trade waste to be collected, please contact our Environment Services Department on 01909 535146.
If you would like to recycle your garden waste but do not want to receive this service, you can buy a home composter at a reduced price by visiting the home composting website.
