Garden Waste Service 2021

Please note:

We are currently experiencing issues with our phones. If you wish to contact our Garden Waste Team, email customer.services@bassetlaw.gov.uk with your full name and address.

Bin stickers – There has been a delay with the delivery of bin stickers, however all stickers should be posted by Friday the 19th of March 2021 and their delivery can be expected soon. Up until April, brown bins without stickers will still be collected, so please leave your brown bin at the kerbside as usual.

Bin deliveries – Due to high demand, brown bins are now out of stock until the 29th of March 2021. From this date, the Environment Services team will be working hard to deliver bins as soon as possible.

About the garden waste service

Our Garden Waste Collection Service allows Bassetlaw residents to recycle even more of their waste.

Collections take place every two-weeks between the beginning of March and the end of November and your fee includes a 240 litre wheelie bin.

You can use your Brown Bin to recycle grass cuttings, hedge trimmings, leaves, small branches and twigs, dead plants, weeds and cut flowers.

Please do not put plastic bin liners in with your garden waste as these cannot be recycled and your bin will not be collected.

The Garden Waste Collection Service is for DOMESTIC properties only.  If you are a business and require your trade waste to be collected, please contact our Environment Services Department on 01909 535146.

Home composting

If you would like to recycle your garden waste but do not want to receive this service, you can buy a home composter at a reduced price by visiting the home composting website.
