Examination: Late 2020 / Early 2021

Independent examination of the Sutton cum Lound Neighbourhood Plan (review) commenced in late November 2020, following completion of the regulation 16 consultation on 23 November 2020.

On 18 January 2021, the Independent Examiner issued his final report, recommending that the District Council should proceed to 'make' the reviewed Neighbourhood Plan, subsequent to a number of specific modifications. The report also clarifies the minor material nature of the modifications, meaning that a referendum is not required to 'make' the Plan. Prior to any modifications being undertaken, the Examination Report has to be approved by BDC Full Council; it is anticipated that this will take place at the meeting on 4 March 2021.
