Notice to business ratepayers

Consultation with Representative Bodies of Non-Domestic Ratepayers and Voluntary Sector Representatives about proposed District Council Budget Plans for 2022 – 2023        

Notice is hereby given that the District Council will, pursuant to Section 65 of the Local Government Finance Act 1992 and Regulations made thereunder, be consulting the representative bodies of Non-Domestic Ratepayers and Voluntary Sector Representatives about proposed District Council Budget Plans for 2022 – 2023 at a meeting to be held using Microsoft Teams at 3.00pm on Thursday 17 February 2022. Representatives of businesses, commerce and the voluntary sector only are invited to be represented at the meeting.

Organisations who feel that they may be representative of Non-Domestic Ratepayers in the District and wish to participate in the consultation exercise are invited to contact David Hill, Director of Corporate Services, by email to corporate.finance@bassetlaw.gov.uk.  On receipt of an email, an invite will be sent for attendance at the virtual teams meeting.

Each year the Council is obliged to meet with business and voluntary sector representatives and other interested parties to discuss its Budget Plans for future years. This notice gives details of the meeting, time and place, and invites other interested parties to attend.
