Street collections - Street collections

A collection of money or sale of articles for the benefit of charitable or other purposes would require a Permit. A Permit will be required only where the collection will take place in any street or public place. A Street Collection Permit would not therefore be required for a collection to be held, for example, inside a shop, a public house, in the foyer of a cinema or theatre.

It is the District Council’s Policy, under Finance Sub-Committee 10th June, 1992, (now Licensing Committee):-

Street Collections/Flag Days be authorised to take place on Saturdays only, collections on other days of the week be authorised only in exceptional circumstances or in consultation with the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of this Sub-Committee.

House to House Collections

January 2019 – January 2020

RECYCLING CLOTHES COMPANY LTD collecting for charity partner AGAINST BREAST CANCER. The purpose of collection is to fund for ground breaking research to improve detection and increase survival rates after breast cancer diagnosis. Particularly, focusing on finding new ways that could help doctors identify and treat secondary breast cancer earlier, faster and more effectively. (Home Office Exempt).

 

Wednesday 1st January 2020 – Thursday 31st December 2020

CLOTHES AID LTD will be collecting throughout Bassetlaw on behalf of MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION to make collections in aid of the charity and to raise awareness of the work done by Make a Wish. (Home Office Exempt).

 

Wednesday 1st January 2020 – Friday 10th January 2020

UNICARE LTD collecting on behalf of YORKSHIRE CHILDRENS TRUST. The team at Yorkshire Children`s Trust work closely with parents, medical professionals and social workers to offer emotional and financial support to families with long term sick and disabled children. The financial support can help fund items such as wheelchairs, specialist car seats etc. Emotional needs are supported with respite breaks at the charity`s own holiday home on the East Coast of Yorkshire and with one to one person centred counselling and play therapies.

 

Sunday 5th January 2020 – Wednesday 5th February 2020

THE GUIDE DOGS FOR THE BLIND ASSOCIATION who will be collecting direct debit pledges in order to raise money to fund and continue the work that is currently being done.

 

Monday 6th January 2020 – Sunday 12th January 2020

AUDOSTA LTD on behalf of WOODLANDS CANCER CARE LTD who are looking to collect used clothing, these items will be sold in order to raise funds for the charity enabling continued support for cancer patients.

 

Wednesday 12th January 2020 – Friday 31st January 2020

SHELTER will be conducting House to House Collections within Bassetlaw. Shelter help millions of people a year who are struggling with bad housing or homelessness. Shelter would appreciate donations from those who support their work and look to have more people join their campaign so that no one is alone in these situations.

 

Monday 13th January 2020 – Saturday 18th January 2020

CLOTHES AID LTD on behalf of CANCER SUPPORT UK who are looking to collect waste textiles for the purpose of recycling. Clothes Aid will receive donations per tonne for the items collected enabling them to continue providing practical and emotional support to people living with cancer, both during and after the treatment period.

AUDOSTA LTD on behalf of CHILDRENS HEART CHARITY collecting throughout Bassetlaw to help children with congenital heart defects internationally.

CHILD AND TEENAGE CANCER AND LEUKAEMIA FOUNDATION collecting clothing and other items to sell in order to make money to put towards the growth of the charity.

RECYCLE PROLINE LTD collecting throughout Bassetlaw on behalf of CANCER RESEARCH & GENETICS UK who wish to collect second hand clothing and shoes for the purposes of re-sale so as to raise funds.

UNICARE LTD on behalf of COPING WITH CANCER NORTH EAST who are collecting throughout Bassetlaw in order to fund for research into treatments and cures for childhood cancer.

 

Saturday 1st June 2019 - Monday 1st June 2020

SOS CLOTHES collecting throughout Bassetlaw on behalf of TREE OF HOPE which is a crowdfunding charity that helps children and young people with a disability or illness by supporting their families to raise the money they need to pay for specialist care that is not freely available through the UK healthcare care system.  Tree of Hope supports families to fundraise towards these costs. (Home Office Exempt).

 

Monday 1st July 2019 - Tuesday 30th June 2020

CLOTHES AID collecting throughout Bassetlaw on behalf of NSPCC, the leading children’s charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK by helping children who have been abused, rebuilding their lives and by protecting those at risk by demanding that Laws are changed and actions taken to better protect them. (Home Office Exempt).

 

Friday 1st November 2019 – Saturday 31st October 2020

BYRONSWELL LTD on behalf of SAMUEL`S CHARITY throughout Bassetlaw. Samuel`s Charity is a small national charity helping children with serious and terminal conditions through supplying equipment, entertainment equipment and improvements to children`s wards across the UK. The monies raised through partnership will help continue the work of Samuel, the son of the Member Trustee, before he sadly passed away.

 

Friday 1st November 2019 – Saturday 31st October 2020

CLOTHES AID LTD on behalf of PDSA (The People`s Dispensary for Sick Animals). Clothes Aid will be collecting throughout Bassetlaw to collect waste textiles for the purpose of recycling, all that is obtained from collection will go to PDSA. (Home Office Exempt).
