Complaints Procedures

Operators are required to keep a record of complaints made to them, their agents or employees in relation to any aspects of the business.  The records have to be maintained for the duration of the Licence and should be available at all times for inspection by Officers of the Council, a Police Officer or any other Authorised Officer.

Complaints involving any element must be reported to the Council's Licensing Department, in writing, within 48 hours of the complaint being made. These include: 

  • the fitness of a licenced driver to drive; and/or
  • the driving ability of any licenced driver
  • the condition of any licenced vehicle
