Private Hire Operators Licence

The licence holder has committed an offence under the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976

  1. The licence holder has demonstrated non-compliance with the requirement of Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976

  2. The licence holder has engaged in conduct which appears to the district council to render them unfit to hold an operator's licence;

  3. There has been a material change in circumstances since the licence was granted

  4. For any other reasonable cause.

To assist the Council in administering the licensing regime Members and Officers will apply the Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Convictions and Fitness Policy. This policy is available to view online (below).
