This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR and Organisational Development professional to join our vibrant HR team in delivering a high quality advisory service to managers at all organisational levels. This is a new position created to provide extra capacity to deliver our organisational change programme, working alongside teams across the Council. If you are a confident individual and enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-focussed environment and facilitating changes and improvements, then we would welcome an application from you.

Bassetlaw is an attractive place to live and work. It includes the most northerly district of Nottinghamshire; bordering Derbyshire, South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire with two main population centres - Retford and Worksop, each surrounded by a network of picturesque villages. All of our three offices in Worksop, Retford and Carlton Forest are easily accessible from the M1 and A1.

We are ambitious, creative and innovative. Our vision is to deliver a dynamic district where people want to live, work and prosper and to work in partnership with others to develop a better quality of life for all. We are committed to recruiting a great and talented workforce, creating opportunities for undertaking high profile and varied work and training as well as continuing with the highly flexible working arrangements, which includes continuing to utilise the benefits of home working.

We will value your contributions, give you access to a free healthcare cash plan and benefits, offer a very generous 25-31 days holiday package (rising incrementally each year and exclusive of public bank holidays) and give you the option to purchase additional annual leave days tax-free. We will double your monthly pension contributions and provide the option to join our shared cost AVC scheme, offer discounted car parking of around £4 per month, and family friendly policies.

Ideal candidates will thrive under pressure and enjoy managing multiple priorities along with having strong experience of working in a generalist HR advisory role. You will be CIPD qualified to level 7 with strong employee relations skills, credible and with the ability to coach and influence managers through HR and OD related processes, casework and policy interpretation. Experience of using iTrent HR & Payroll Systems would be beneficial, but not essential. You will receive training in the organisational change methodology being used by the Council.
