Dog fouling - What can be done?

The Dog Warden has a number of procedures to combat dog fouling problems.

The Council can use any of the following methods to eradicate fouling:-

  • Fouling signs
  • Fouling Letters
  • Leaflet Drop
  • Surveillance
  • Education

Dog Fouling Bins

Bassetlaw District Council does not provide specific dog fouling bins. Dog faeces should be bagged up and put in normal household waste and public bins. General waste bins with dog fouling stickers attached can be requested from the authority’s Environment Services.
