Organising a street party

Street party

The Government has published guidance on organising a street party, setting out helpful tips, advice and support to create an event.

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has launched the Government’s new Platinum Jubilee website, including an interactive map which will display all the events and activities that will be taking place right across the UK. There is also a helpful toolkit to help you plan your celebrations.

The map of events showing the location of events celebrating the Queen's Jubilee (external link) is open for anyone to add their events and everyone is encouraged to upload any events and activities they may be planning to mark the Jubilee.

GOV.UK's your guide to organising a street party (external link) also gives information on the differences between street parties and other public events.

You can apply to close a road for a street party or special event, on the Nottinghamshire County Council website.
