A public right of way means that anyone may pass
or re-pass along a right of way at any time. They provide a
route into the countryside and around towns.
The rights of way are signposted from a highway
and often waymarked to show the route. Rights of way are
marked in different ways depending on the route. Footpaths
are marked with yellow arrows, Bridleways are marked with blue
arrows , Restricted byways marked with plum coloured arrows and
Byways are marked with red arrows.
