The S.A.N.D (See the Ability Not the Disability) Sports club has been successful with a two-year grant from Children In Need. This has enabled the fourth Sports Festivals, which will take place on Saturday the 13^th of September 2008, at Bircotes Leisure centre. 40 young people between the ages of 5 and 16 years are expected to attended the day and enjoy a variety of sports from Cheer Leading, Archery, Non Contact boxing, swimming and Arts and Crafts these sessions are facilitated by sports development with the event also being supported by volunteers, C.S.L and H.S.L. students. Twelve qualified coaches will be on hand through out the day to ensure participants have a worthwhile sporting experience. The sand promotes the benefit of exercise and opportunities for young people with disabilities.
