Fire Fighting & Rescue Service

Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service covers
an area of 216,000 hectares (834 square miles) with a population of
over 1 million.
They have a total of 25 fire stations (12
wholetime and 13 retained) which are situated to provide a fire and
rescue service to every person within Nottinghamshire.
Their Vision
The vision of the Nottinghamshire and the City of
Nottingham Fire Authority is to ensure that the people it serves
are safe, in particular safe from fire.
Their Aim
To reduce the effects on people, property and the
environment of:
- Fire
- Other incidents and
emergencies
They will do this by: -
- Reducing the number of fires and their
effects by providing services which inform, encourage and support
people, organisations and communities, to take action themselves to
reduce the risk of fire.
- Reducing the effects of any accident or
situation where a fire service emergency response is
required.
- Providing support systems to ensure that
our services are provided effectively &
economically.
