A1 Housing gets its two stars
A1 Housing Bassetlaw Ltd, the Arms Length
Management Organisation that manages the Council’s housing stock
has got its two star rating, unlocking £62 million in Government
money to improve homes across the district.
Chief Executive David Hunter welcomed the
news:
“Bassetlaw District Council is extremely
pleased that A1 have been awarded their 2 star good rating with
promising prospects to continue to improve.”
“This Council is now looking forward to the
future and A1 delivering Decent Homes standard accommodation for
Council tenants by using the extra funding of £62 million, which
can now be accessed.
“The result reflects the positive response
both the Council and A1 Housing have made to previous inspections
and demonstrates the improvement that A1 Housing have made since
they were formed in October 2004. This provides the basis for them
to continue to improve housing services for the people of
Bassetlaw.”
“The Council looks forward to continue to work
closely with A1 in the delivery of high level services to the
community.”
