Care Needs
This is a County Council function. For information about care

Income Support
Income support is a paid to people with a low income. It can
include help with costs, such as free prescriptions from your
doctor and dental treatment. It is not paid to unemployed people or
people in full-time work.

Social Benefits
Housing Benefit (HB) and Council Tax Benefit (CTB) are schemes
to help pay for rent and council tax. The benefits are calculated
and paid by Bassetlaw District Council to all entitled residents of
the district. To receive these benefits you must make a claim with
either Bassetlaw District Council, or if you are claiming
Income Support , Job Seekers Allowance or Incapacity Benefit you
can claim for HB or CTB at the same time with Jobcentre Plus. If
you are claiming Pension Credit, you can also claim HB/CTB at the
same time with The Pension Service.
The level of benefit that you receive will reflect your current
circumstances, i.e. your household, your rent, your income and your
savings."
