Saturday Morning Collection of Bulky Domestic Refuse

The last collection for this service is on 7th August 2010 (covering Area 5 as detailed below and Area 4 as per schedule). The Saturday morning collection of bulky waste will be replaced by a revised service and details will follow shortly.

AREA 4:

Beckingham, Saundby, Gringley-on-the-Hill, Clayworth, Wiseton, Misson.

13th February, 27th March, 8th May, 19th June, 31st July

 

AREA 5:

Tuxford, Gamston, Bothamsall, Elkesley, West Markham, Milton, Cuckney, Nether Langwith, Norton, Holbeck.

20th February, 3rd April, 15th May, 26th June, 7th August

 

Items Included for Collection:

  • Beds
  • 3 Piece Suites
  • Tables
  • Chairs
  • Wardrobes
  • Sideboards
  • Carpets
  • General Items of Household Furniture
  • Old Clothing/Textiles (BAGGED)
  • Garden Refuse (BAGGED)
  • Tree/Shrub Prunings (maximum length 5 feet, maximum diameter 3 inches)

 

N.B  White Goods (fridges, freezers, cookers, microwaves, washing machines etc) are not collected on the roving service.

 

A separate chargeable collection is provided for these items arranged by contacting the Council’s Environment Services Unit (Tel No: 01909 534501).

  • Bicycles/Motorcycles
  • Mowers/Garden Machinery
  • Other Household Fixtures/Fittings
  • White Goods (Fridges, Freezers, Cookers, Washing Machines, Tumble Driers, Microwaves etc)

 

For further information on disposal arrangements for the above items please check A-Z of items for disposal or contact the Customer Service Centre Helpline on telephone number 0844 9808080. They will be able to tell you if your items can be taken to their Household Waste Recycling Centres, or if you must make your own arrangements for its disposal.

 

Remember if you use a trailer or van to take these items yourself to any of the Household Waste Recycling Centres, you will need  a permit before you are allowed on the site.
