Environment and Housing Services
Welcome to Environment and Housing Services
A Message from Mark Ladyman, Head of Environment and Housing
Services
Thank you for taking the time to look at our Service web
pages. I have the responsibility for managing the day to
day activities for Environment and Housing Services. As a
Senior Officer for the Council I have two main roles; keeping
Members up to date with changes in legislation and making sure the
service carries out its functions efficiently. You’ll see
from the website that we cover an enormous range of services some
more interesting than others! I hope the information is
useful and if you have any suggestions about the website then we
would welcome your feedback.
If you would like to know anything more about
Environment and Housing Services or the District Council or about
the services we provide then contact one of the officers within
this section, or your local councillor. We are all
contactable by email via this website.

Cleaner Safer Greener Strategy
This document recognises that issues
relating to cleanliness, safety and environmental quality have a
fundamental impact on the quality of life for Bassetlaw's
residents, businesses and
visitors.
This strategy aims to provide a sound
information base and real measurable actions aimed at addressing
these issues to create communities that are safe and inclusive,
well planned and well run and offer equality of opportunity to all
citizens.
The pdf version of this Cleaner Safer Greener
Strategy is available to download.
