The Water Cycle Study (WCS) will form part of the evidence base
supporting the production of the Local Development Framework.
The Scoping Stage of the
WCS has comprised of an initial review of available data and
provided an overview of issues relating to clean water and
wastewater infrastructure capacity; water resource availability;
water quality; and potential ecological impacts of development.
The DRAFT Outline Study
builds upon the findings of the Scoping WCS and has been
undertaken using the proposed growth levels as
identified in the emerging Core Strategy. The study will form an
important basis of the Bassetlaw Core Strategy making up part the
LDF, as well as providing input to the development of Supplementary
Planning Documents (SPDs) to assist in ensuring the delivery of
water cycle management requirements at the local planning
application level.
The document is spilt into a non-technical
summary and the main document. Due to the size of the document,
the main report is spilt into three sections:
Appendix B shows the how
Severn Trent’s wastewater network will be impacted on the proposed
levels of the growth identified in the Core Strategy.
