Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA)

An SFRA is a requirement of Planning Policy Statement 25: Development and Flood Risk. It is used to refine information on areas that may flood, taking into account all sources of flooding (e.g. pluvial and fluvial) and the impacts of climate change, in order to inform decisions about the location of future development.

Bassetlaw's SFRA was completed in July 2009. Volumes 1, 2 and 4 may be found here, along with accompanying maps. Volume 3, which contains the technical data used for the study, will be available shortly.
