Consultation on Sites to be included
in the audit and on the Methodology
27 July – 24 August 2011
Bassetlaw District Council is reviewing its open space study,
which forms part of the evidence base for the District’s Local
Development Framework (LDF).
This review will update the audit of parks, play areas,
allotments, amenity spaces, natural green spaces and church yards
and cemeteries across the District, assessing them in terms of
their quantity, quality and accessibility. This update will be used
to inform decisions about the protection of open spaces in the
emerging Site Allocations document.
A four-week consultation period on the sites to be assessed, and
on the proposed methodology for assessing them, will run from 27
July to 24 August 2011. After this time, the audit will begin and a
draft study will be produced for comment later in the year.
The sites to be assessed can be viewed on a
spreadsheet. Alternatively, you may wish to see a list of sites
by settlement, in which case please click on the name of the
relevant settlement below.
If you have any views on either the methodology or the sites, or if you wish to
propose additional sites for the assessment, please email your
comments to future.plans@bassetlaw.gov.uk
or write to Planning Policy, Queen’s Buildings, Potter Street,
Worksop, Notts, S80 2AH. You may also contact the Planning Policy
