Shine a light on Bassetlaw Museum
Just how do they make ‘stained glass’
windows?
To find the answer and to even have a go at
making a pretend one, get yourself down to Bassetlaw Museum on
Saturday 24th May.
Although Bassetlaw Museum is currently
undergoing a transformation and is closed to the public, the
brand-new education room will be opened to the public for the
special event, being held as part of the national Museums and
Galleries month.
During the day you will also be able to try
your hand at making sun pictures with paint and light, experiment
with lenses and learn how to improve your drawing skills.
“This is a free event and all materials are
provided for free as well. There will be something for young and
old,” said Museum Curator Sam Glasswell.
“It is also a fantastic first event to hold in
the brand-new Education Room and weather permitting we intend to
branch out into the garden as well.”
The ‘Light Up’ event starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm.
