  • On Wednesday 10th March 2010 approximately 250 soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, The Mercian Regiment (Worcester’s and Foresters) will exercise their right to the Freedom of Worksop and Retford, by marching through the town centre of Retford.
  • To prepare for an event on 25th March giving local businesses the opportunity to meet public sector buyers, the Council’s Economic Development Unit is to hold three practical seminars designed to help to get the most from the event.

  • Bassetlaw District Council has been in correspondence with Gareth Evans concerning a parking ticket issued to his wife on 11 November 2009. The District Council understands that Mr Evans worked as a presenter on BBC Radio Sheffield.
  • Bassetlaw District Council have taken another step towards bringing a Cinema to Worksop with the advertising of the Cinema development opportunity in the in the European Journal and Estates Gazette.
  • Bassetlaw District Council has secured funding from the Homes and Community Agency to build nine affordable homes as part of the wider development of the derelict toilets in Exchange Street site in Retford.
