Bircotes Gym
A new state of the art gym is soon to be unveiled at Bircotes Leisure Centre thanks to a £200,000 investment. Work is currently taking place at the Council owned and Barnsley Premier Leisure managed facility to expand the gym and install brand new equipment, create additional dedicated work-out stations and a brand new spin studio.

Nicola North, Facility Manager at Bircotes Leisure Centre, said: “It’s fantastic to be able to bring state-of-the-art fitness facilities to the people of Bircotes. We’re all really excited to unveil the new-look gym to our members.”

As a Council we always look to promote active and healthy lifestyles and thanks to a great partnership with Barnsley Premier Leisure, we are able to provide enhanced facilities in Harworth and Bircotes.”

The new Gym will include approx’ 56 stations, the new Pulse Smart system allowing for BPL Gym members to monitor their programs and better set and manage goals, which are also linked to other BPL managed Leisure Centres in Bassetlaw.

Bassetlaw District Council has supported the project with funding of £54k, with the remainder being provided by BPL. It is expected that the new gym will open to the public from Friday 14th April.
