The Council has embarked on an ambitious plan to bring about a
wholesale economic and social regeneration of the area, and provide
the people of Bassetlaw with excellence in public service.
This is a challenging agenda, the achievement of which will
depend fundamentally on our most valuable asset – Our
Employees.
It is our people at work who will, on a daily
basis, drive the agenda, implement the strategies and provide the
attention to detail and care for the customer when delivering
services.
As a consequence it is vital that our
employees are recognised as the key to our success and that
appropriate plans are in place to ensure that we have a capable and
skilled workforce, committed to and focused on achieving the
Council’s objectives.
This is why the Human Resource Service
(working with people across the organisation) has developed this
strategy identifying and addressing the key Human Resource issues
and actions which need to be addressed, so that we can achieve our
goals. It will provide a new coherent, integrated approach to
people management linked to strategic objectives and is designed to
help our employees to give their best and achieve their true
potential.
