Tour of Britain
Bassetlaw will welcome 120 of the world’s best cyclists as it hosts Stage Four of the OVO Energy Tour of Britain on Wednesday 6th September.
Nottinghamshire is the only county in the Midlands to host an entire stage of the UK’s premier road cycling race that will take in a 175-kilometre route through the county, starting in Mansfield, passing through Bassetlaw, and finishing in Newark-on-Trent.
Check out the map below to see what route the race will take through Bassetlaw, as well as where the Eisberg Sprint and SKODA King of the Mountains sections will take place.
Worksop, Harworth and Bircotes, the home town of legendary cyclist Tom Simpson, and Retford are expected to be popular vantage points for the race, but you can watch the race from almost anywhere along the route.
If you are planning to hold an event, please register this in the ‘Get Involved’ section so that as many people as possible know about it.
