They provide sporting pathways for those who like to participate in sport for enjoyment to those that have inspirational sporting abilities and want to compete at the highest standards.

The Club’s objective is to promote and expand the game of Rugby Union Football in the Retford area for the benefit of the community at large regardless of age, gender and race, in partnership and constructive cooperation with Nottinghamshire County Education Authority, Bassetlaw District Council, community-minded commercial organisations and local schools. In so doing, the Club strives to develop awareness, particularly amongst young people, of the benefits of sport as a means of encouraging well being, individual personal development and responsible cooperative behaviour within an enjoyable team and communal environment.

Description:

Formed 1898 - Two Senior teams 1st XV and 2nd XV, Juniors. Teams play in the Midlands Leagues and either team play at Stubbing Meadows on Saturday afternoons either 2.15pm or 3pm Kick-off times. Any new players are welcome as well as social members. Gym, sauna, and function rooms available.

Juniors, Seniors & males. Do not currently have females attend, however, the club would be able to work with females if enough interest is identified.
