Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment
The Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) will identify and assess the development potential of possible sites for future housing development. It will form part of the evidence base that will be used to inform the development of the District’s Local Development Framework (LDF).
Bassetlaw District Council, like other local authorities, is required by Government to demonstrate that there is a continuous five-year supply of housing land available for development in the District. This land must be sufficient to meet the projected housing requirements set out for the District in the emerging Core Strategy.
The SHLAA’s Steering Group agreed the methodology on 11th August 2008. The final methodology can be downloaded below, along with the comments received on the initial draft.
The final SHLAA 2013 is completed.
Volume 1 is the actual document with summaries of the key findings along with the housing supply and trajectory work.
Volume 2 includes the individual site assessments grouped by settlement.
