The Submission version of the Neighbourhood Plan for East Markham is now complete. A consultation period is now underway and will run until 19 June 2017.
Submission Neighbourhood Plan
In accordance with Section 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, Bassetlaw District Council hereby invites feedback from organisations and individuals on the East Markham Neighbourhood Development Plan. The consultation period will last for eight weeks and will run until 5pm on 19 June 2017.
A draft version of the document underwent consultation for 6 weeks ending on 31 July 2016. Comments made to the Parish Council from that consultation helped inform changes to the document submitted to Bassetlaw District Council. The Neighbourhood Development Plan, written by East Markham Parish Council and the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group proposes a number of policies on housing, character, the environment and flooding.
The East Markham Neighbourhood Plan is currently undergoing its independent examination and the examiner has now published a set of questions on the proposed Plan based on their findings and responses received at the Regulation 16 stage of the process. Both, the Qualifying Body; East Markham Parish Council and the Local Planning Authority; Bassetlaw District Council will now provide answers to these questions and the examiner will publish a final report on the Neighbourhood Plan in due course.
