Adoption of Shireoaks Neighbourhood Plan
Following the successful result of the Public Referendum held on the 17 November 2016 on the Shireoaks Neighbourhood Plan, Bassetlaw District Council has ‘made’ the Plan and it will now be used to assess planning applications submitted within the Parish.
A Public Referendum has been arranged for the designated Shireoaks Neighbourhood area on the 17 November 2016.
The Submission version of the Neighbourhood Plan for Shireoaks is now complete; a consultation period on the document ran from 18th January 2016 to the 29th February 2016. An examiner was appointed to inspect the Plan and confirmed that subject to some amendments, the Plan may proceed to a Public Referendum.
Submission Neighbourhood Plan
The consultation period on the Plan lasted for six weeks and ran from 18th January 2016 until the 29th February 2016.
A draft version of the document underwent consultation from the 26th May 2015 to the 13th July 2015. Comments made to the Parish Council’s from that consultation helped inform changes to the document submitted to Bassetlaw District Council. The Neighbourhood Development Plan, written by Shireoaks Parish Council and the community group proposes a number of policies on housing, employment, recreation, environment and community facilities.
It is the responsibility of the District Council to collate all the representations made and pass these on to the independent examiner, who will examine the plan documents and assess whether the plan is in line with legislation and can therefore proceed to a public referendum. An examiner will be appointed to undertake the examination in the forthcoming weeks.
