Harworth & Bircotes Neighbourhood Plan
Following a successful Public Referndum held on the 03 December 2015 the Harworth & Bircotes Neighbourhood Plan has been 'made' by Bassetlaw District Council.
Following the successful result of the Public Referendum held on the 3rd December 2015 on the Harworth & Bircotes Neighbourhood Plan, Bassetlaw District Council has ‘made’ the Plan and it will now be used to assess planning applications submitted within the Parish.

Neighbourhood Plan Referendum
A Referendum relating to the adoption of the Harworth & Bircotes Neighbourhood Plan will be held on 3rd December, 2015. Notice of Referendum

The Submission version of the Neighbourhood Plan for Harworth & Bircotes is now complete; a consultation period on the document ran from 17th June 2015 to the 31st July 2015.
An examiner was appointed to inspect the Plan and produced the Harworth & Bircotes Final Report on the 6th October 2015.
The examiner recommended that the Plan may proceed to a Public Referendum subject to some amendments, these must now be addressed by Bassetlaw District Council while a date for the Public Referendum is agreed.
Submission Neighbourhood Plan
In accordance with Section 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, Bassetlaw District Council hereby invites feedback from organisations and individuals on the Harworth & Bircotes Neighbourhood Development Plan. The consultation period will last for six weeks and will run from 5pm 17 June 2015 until 5pm on the 31 July 2015.
A draft version of the document underwent consultation from the 29th September 2014 until 10th November 2014. Comments made to the Town Council from that consultation helped inform changes to the document submitted to Bassetlaw District Council. The Neighbourhood Development Plan, written by Harworth & Bircotes Town Council and the community group proposes a housing allocation along with a number of policies on housing, employment, recreation, environment and broadband.

It is the responsibility of the District Council to collate all the representations made and pass these on to the independent examiner, who will examine the plan documents and assess whether the plan is in line with legislation and can therefore proceed to a public referendum. An examiner will be appointed to undertake the examination in the forthcoming weeks.

Draft Neighbourhood Plan
The Town Council have now completed the Draft Neighbourhood Development Plan for Harworth & Bircotes; the Draft Plan can be viewed at Harworth and Bircotes Draft Neighbourhood Plan.
A 6 week consultation period is currently underway and will end on the 10th November 2014. The approval of the Neighbourhood Area Designation, for the Harworth & Bircotes Neighbourhood Plan, was made on 27th June 2013. No comments or objections were received to carry out the plan, therefore, the Neighbourhood Plan may now commence.
