If you have additional bulky household items that are too large for your wheeled bin, facilities are provided for you to dispose of them at no charge, when taken by yourself, to a Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC)
The Household Waste Recycling Centre's are managed by Nottinghamshire County Council.
Within Bassetlaw there are two Household Waste Recycling Centres located at:
- Shireoaks Road, Worksop, S80 3HA
- Hallcroft, Retford, DN22 7LE
The Amenity/Recycling Centres are open seven days a week at the following times:
- March 1st to March 31st - from 8am to 6pm
- April 1st to September 30th - from 8am to 8pm
- October 1st to October 31st - from 8am to 6pm
- November 1st to February 28/29th - from 8am to 4pm
Please note they are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

Bassetlaw residents who wish to use the recycling centres will need to register with Nottinghamshire County Council to continue using the sites. Please contact Nottinghamshire County Council on 0300 500 8080 or you can complete the Waste Permit Application Form.
Should you be unable to transport the items to the Recycling Centre, Bassetlaw District Council provide a chargeable bulky waste collection service from domestic properties.
