Proud local residents’ efforts were recognised on Tuesday 8th March 2016 during this years’ Achievers Awards event, held in the Ceres Suite at Worksop Town Hall.
Every year individuals and groups help to improve the lives of Bassetlaw people. In recognition of these efforts, Bassetlaw District Council holds an annual Achievers’ Awards.
The evening was an informal one where nominees were presented with a certificate by the Chairman of the Council, Councillor Gwynneth Jones.
Nominations are made by Councillors, schools, members of the public and from local press reports.
Awards are given to residents of all ages, from Primary School children to those who have been supporting their community for many years. Many have been given to those who have overcome personal difficulty or adversity and are now a productive part of their community.
Bassetlaw is proud to recognise its Achievers and congratulates all nominees and Award winners.
