We seek to protect the local environment and the
public by tackling a variety of problems that cause a nuisance to
residents.
We investigate all relevant nuisance complaints
including:
- Smoke from garden bonfires
- Enforcement of smoke control
areas
- Loud music and noisy
neighbours
- Barking dogs
- House and car alarms
- Noise from construction sites
- Dumped rubbish
- Dog fouling
- Emissions of dust, fumes and odours into
the atmosphere
- Noise and smoke from industrial and
commercial properties
We contribute to the assessment of planning
applications where there is a potential for pollution.
Officers will respond to individual requests for help such as
dealing with noisy neighbours, barking dogs or noisy industrial
premises.
All complaints are treated in the strictest
confidence and if we are unable to help you directly, we will try
to advise you who can. If you need to make a complaint,
please telephone us or use one of our online forms below.
