Protecting our Local Communities
Environmental Health is one of the services which makes up the
Environment Services of Bassetlaw District
Council. The wide range of services we provide are concerned
with making Bassetlaw a safe and healthy environment for residents,
workers and visitors alike.
We aim to take 'firm but fair' regulatory action to protect
public health & the environment, and to promote and
improve the wellbeing of the residents of Bassetlaw. We will
do this based on our Enforcement Policies:-
We have two teams carrying out the work of the Environmental
Health Service:-
The Neighbourhood Team - dealing with neighbour
nuisance complaints, animal wardens, drainage, etc.
The Regulatory Team - dealing with food hygiene
& safety including food poisoning and infectious diseases,
health & safety at work, environmental protection &
authorised industrial processes, air quality, contaminated land and
inspections of certain licensed activities.
We work to the service standards of Bassetlaw District
